Unless you’ve been in a coma for the past few months, then you should be familiar with the world’s latest social network addition; Twitter. Yes, the new phenomenon that has every Blackberry device from the Curve to the Bold working overtime.

As you’ve seen by now, Twitter is not only for you to send Tweets to your homies about how your barber pushed your hairline back, or for girlfriends to send TwitPics (Picture Tweets) to each other about the stilettos they’re about to buy; because celebrities have joined in on the action also.

Most people probably won’t want to admit it, but peering into the lives of their favorite superstars on Twitter has become more than just a guilty pleasure, it’s an addiction. When it comes artists that keep us addicted to their Twitter pages, with RT’s (Re-Tweets) there are none bigger than 50 Cent (@50Cent) and Kanye West (@KanyeWest).

50 Cent has been a member of the Twitter community for quite sometime, but only recently began Tweeting his heart out, while Mr. West joined almost two months ago, and is closing in  on one million followers.

A few years back, both 50 Cent and Kanye West were involved in a friendly battle over who’s album (at the time) would sell more, and as you all know; Kanye’s Graduation walked away victorious, leaving 50 Cent’s Curtis album in its retail dust.

But as of late, you can say that their rivalry has rekindled itself in way through Twitter. With the both of them Tweeting updates that keep bloggers blogging, and readers reading, (that sounded like a Cam’ron line) the two are pretty much going head-to-head once again.

Odds are if you have a Twitter account, then most likely you’re following one if not both of them.
