T3, Elzhi, Baatin, and J Dilla: All members of Slum Village at one point in their careers. Although Baatin and J Dilla have passed away, and Elzhi isn’t seeing eye-to-eye with original member T3— all four MC’s from Detroit make their way onto the group’s sixth album, Villa Manifesto.
According to Eternal Reflection’s website YearOfTheBlacksmith, the group comprised of Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek will begin touring on April 22nd, performing material from their new album, Revolutions Per Minutes.
The one-half of Reflection Eternal talks about falling victim to industry rule 4,089 during his Rawkus Records days. But on the flipside, he still credits them with early success in the beginning stages of his career.
